Il Giardino Violetto – Danse Macabre

Gothik Radio Il Giardino Violetto – Danse Macabre

Typically Italian Goth, but that is a good thing. However this reminds you of Madre del Visio with female vocals at times with the same intensity and insanity. For some reason The Dead Relatives and Spiritual Bats come to mind listening to this as well…. And there is nothing wrong with that! The second track “Il Giardino Violetto" is pretty much what to expect from the band, dirge like guitars, heavy bass and the howling vocals of the singer Serena that reminds one of some kind of invocation. We feel in it a certain emotion (a certain anxiety for sure); the male vocals hidden behind give a sort of mystic form to this track. Eerie, mental stuff this. "Waiting (Red Death)" has perhaps a more traditional drum beat, nice guitar and vocals that fit perfectly. Catchy. Bass and drums and minimal guitars and the voice of Serena drive “L.S.D.” a Very nice track indeed. However the remix features the male voice and is more orientated for dance floors. "Litanie a Satana" returns to same idea as the second track. Lovely indeed! Again this is typical italian gothic-rock, obscure and underground but still so familiar.
Brilliant and highly recommended!
