Gothik Radio Nim Vind- Fashion Of Fear

Rife with ghoulish pop-punk songs about skulking in the shadows Fashion of Fear gives you what you expect: Songs that are very well structured, driving drums and great guitar riffs that split skulls. Then the voice comes and while you think it might remind you of someone else, it does not matter because it works, it sounds great and all you want to do is join the mayhem. And let’s give credit where due – he does have a great crooning voice! This is horror-punk with some gothic elements from the disco beat and jangling strings of “Astronomicon” which will rattle bones on dance floors instead of in circle pits, and the acoustic guitar ballad “The Bitter End” which is a great emotional track. Though I cannot clear the image of a cowboy riding of in a red sunset when this starts!
Standout tracks are "Like a Guilloteen", "The Fashion of Fear”, & "Into the Sphere We Go" and the great guitar of “Outsiders”All in all a great album and well worth it!

Gothik Radio New Math - Wake The Dead

Another "hard-to-find" band and a great fine one too. This album is basically "They Walk Among Us" (released back in 1982) together with another New Math album called "Gardens" on one CD! Mostly New Wave, with lots of Post-Punk with Keyboards and a generous touch of Gothic-Rock. Imagine PIL, Kommunity FK, Wall Of Voodoo, Gary Numan, a little bit of Punk and some Gothic-Rock moments and you get New Math. It is difficult to actually pick out favourites from this but “They walk among you”, “Garden Of Delight”, “Two Tongues” are tracks that immediately stand out! “Invocation”, is good
If you can get this, buy it you will never regret it!

Gothik Radio NFD – Light my way

An advance promo copy of the ne NFD album soon to be released Dead Pool Rising. This is very promising indeed. And if this is anything to go by the new album is going to be brilliant.Light my way is an incredibly good track and immediately reminds us of Nephilim. But in this case it is done so well , and we know they consist of some of the FotN memebers so it is ok. Driving guitars , thundering drums and the vocals that tie all of this together to create an incredibly powerful song!
As I said the new album looks to be very promising and if it maintains the quality of the promo here , it is bound to be one of the gothik rock albums of the year.

Gothik Radio No Tears - Borderline

With a history like theirs, considering the members of the band, I am not surprised at the quality and prowess of this band! They know what they're doing!
What they call cold wave, on the lighter side of rock, and by its inquisitive nature it becomes easily accessible to Goth ears.
'Void' is a testament that this is very pertinant to Goths as a whole, with keyboards and guitar draping themselves over the fuller bass shades. Very thoughtful and a journey into a new darkness.
'Night Effect' is a great catchy track that gives way to Sadness as it lets itself in weaving a new tapestry sometimes reminiscent of The Cassandra Complex.
'Prisoner' is a rather restless one , gripping with a pained vocal delivery. 'Mauvaise Farce' has a great bass and guitar; a wonderfully crafty song.
A superb release and highly recommended!
